Who knows why the school crossing sign has a black bar on it? (Traditionally, the lollypop lady [crossing patrol officer] would carry a piece of chalk in her pocket and if a vehicle ignored her order to stop she would note the registration on the sign and report it to the police later.)
Hello 👋 Fantastic Information 👏 I will use next week to make a short 😀
@@dtc_uk I look forward to it. I'm not a driving instructor, I picked up that snippet on a child safeguarding course as a social worker in the 1990s.

Hello 👋 Thanks for commenting
Thanks for this 👍🏾 My issue is remembering the direction of the indicator stalk. I've come up with phrases 'write up' and 'let down' 🤷🏾♀️ and to help me when I panic Im going to letter my finger nails/false nails with letters 'Left/Right'... 😉
Thanks for your valuable comment. It's a great suggestion

CAN i USE INTERNATIONAL DRIVNG LICENCE TO DRIVE IN UK
Yes, you can. You can use a valid international licence anywhere in the world. However, please bear in mind, it is for visitors, not those intending to settle here
So sad he failed me because Iam driving slow The fact is i am driving safely??
Hello there. It's sad 😔 but examiners due fail pupils for driving too slow. I will upload a video on driving at the appropriate speed limit for the driving test. Please allow me a week or two
When parking; First put it into N, Engage the handbrake, Release the pedal to transmit all the weight to the handbrake, Hit the brake again and put the gear into P, Turn off the car.
Thanks for commenting
thanks
Hello 👋 You're most welcome
Can A student buy insurance on provisional license and then drive on his international license for 1 year?
Hello Hassan 👋 You should be able to buy insurance on an international licence.
The best video about the roundabouts ever! Thank you
Hello 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback. What other videos would you like to see?
Amazing video! Great information
Hello Learn2Drive-ASAP 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback
Amber is a stop signal, it means stop unless you’ve already crossed the stop line or you’re so close to it that stopping may cause a collision.
Hello Wayne 👋 Hoping you're well. Have you had an opportunity to watch the linked video?
Hi mate. 👋 I’m very well thank you, how are you? Yes I’ve seen it, you’re absolutely right, as amber is a stop signal we need to anticipate it changing to amber when the traffic light is green.
Very good video
Hello 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback

Thanks David 😀
amazing
Thanks for the positive feedback 👋
Thank you
You're welcome 😃
Thanks so much for this amazing , clear , informative lesson .. much appreciated ..
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the positive feedback 👋
Easter
Hello Waheed 👋 That's 100% correct
For me the two most confusing signs are (1) a bicycle in a red circle and (2) a bicycle in a red triangle. Red circles are prohibitions, red triangles are warnings. (1) means no bicycles, (2) means beware of cyclists. Unless you understand the general principle, you can make dangerous mistakes.
That's very nicely put 👏
Very helpful
Glad you think so!
if I need to turn right when I need to put signal.
Hello 👋 That's a very good question. However, the answer is not simple - watch ua-cam.com/video/r0LYVTgfBQI/v-deo.html
Are electric cars safe to drive in super wet rainy days as electric does not mix with water
Hello Jawad 👋 I hope so because I'm planning to get one in two months
Good evening sir ,your videos are very clear to understand,I’ve been learning a lot from your channel ,any advice for a Portuguese 51 year old to start taking is driving license , the way you take your drivers license in the UK is very different from my country ,any advice will be much appreciated, thanks
Hello 👋 Thanks for commenting. The best advice is can give is simply to enjoy the process. When you enjoy something, you will learn faster. The hardest part is to find an Instructor that you get along with.
thanks for your video is really helping l hope l pass my driving test soon
Hello Ernest 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback. I wish you the best of luck
My understanding was that you may wait at a yellow box junction if you want to turn right but are stopped from doing so by oncoming traffic.
Hello 👋 you're understanding is correct
Got to learn soo much. Thank you soo much
Hello Subbey 👋 The learning process NEVER stops. Enjoy the process
Excellent information i have just got a tom tom start and just learned more in 8 minutes than driving around for hours (I passed my test many years ago) your instructions are clearer than the sat nav! Well done Sir.
Hello 👋 Thanks for the picture feedback. It's good too know that the videos are appreciated
A special type of car...it appears to flip from left hand drive to right hand drive.
Hi 👋 I didn't even realise. It's a camera error, lol 😆
I don’t know if you’re a driver instructor or not ,but you are amazing sir, well done to all your videos
Hello 👋 Thanks a ton. Yes, I'm an instructor
you did not have to mention the country of the pupil. It doesn’t add any value to the video or add to the lesson learnt. This is prejudicial and adds to the crippling stereotypes
Hello 👋 I'm am sorry that it offended you. You are correct that, that particular information could have been missed out
appreciate your help with these great videos ,could you please teach us how to overtake obstructions
Hello 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes, I will take a look into an overtaking video
It has a red circle so it’s a mandatory order.
That's great 👍 Apparently, I didn't even think about that when making the video Lol 😆
Hi, I do like your vids there not to long winded you seem to know what your talking about and genuine guy. A matter of interest why wouldn't the video be possible if it wasn't for the subscribers? Curious!
Hello Nicholas 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback. If I have no subscribers, I will eventually loose the motivation to carry on making the videos. So without subscribers, eventually no videos. It's all a bit of fun
If I have priority but say have a gap to the cars in front and someone has let them through. I may let them through even though I have priority. If I can see potential problems past them that may cause an issue past them by too much traffic building up behind them. I've never heard of acronym OUT I do do it
Hello 👋 Yes, you are correct to say that on occasions, even if we have priority, it's better to give way
Clearest explanation available for angle start automatic, thanks a ton
Thanks for the positive feedback
Hi, may i know what test route should i expect on Thursday 14:32. Thanks.
Hi 👋 unfortunately, I don't know. Watch road signs and markings and you will be fine on any route
@dtc_uk no problem. I really appreciate your reply. 😊
What is the difference between a gyratory and a spiral roundabout?
Hello 👋 there is not much difference. They are NON standard roundabouts, usually with a great stretch of road between the exits
Thanks very much. This really help alot
Hello 👋 I'm glad it helped!
